Yes, we all know that Stevens Pass Mountain Resort is the main attraction for skiing, snowboarding, and park riding, but did you know they also have a Nordic Center for cross country skiing and snow shoe trails? Stevens Pass has rentals for everything, including cross country skiing and snow shoeing at their Nordic Center.
Stevens Pass Snowboard Shop in Gold Bar has ski and snowboard rentals (skip the line at the resort!), as well as a top quality repair shop.

REI Co-Op rents snowshoe gear at all their stores, and the downtown Seattle site also rents Nordic Skiing gear. Adult snowshoe packages start at $26, Cross-country ski packages at $36 and include a day to pick up, a day to use, and a day to drop off (3 days!).
CROSS COUNTRY SKI & SNOW SHOE TRAILS
–Stevens Pass Nordic Center is 5 miles east of the resort’s main entry and has over 17 miles of machine groomed trails
–Plain Valley Ski Trails / Lake Wenatchee trail system: Plain Valley Nordic Trails has almost 15 miles of groomed trails, with several more miles of trails adjacent through the Lake Wenatchee State Park trails. (Sno-park pass required at the State Park, Admission pass required at Plain Valley)
–Surprise Lake, Scenic WA is a popular hike, suitable in winter as a snow shoe trail. FIRST CHECK CURRENT CONDITIONS!
-Skyline Lake, Stevens Pass WA is just on the other/ east side of the pass. Again, please check current conditions first!
There are many trails in the area suitable for Nordic sports that are NOT groomed, but due to constantly changing conditions we have chosen not to list them here. Feel free to contact the local Ranger Station or recent reports posted on the Washington Trails Association site for more info.
–Stevens Pass has finally opened a hill designated for tubing and sledding! YAY! Bring your own tube or sled.
–Leavenworth Winter Sports Club offers a sledding hill set among all those miles of Nordic trails. Bring your own sled.
