Historic Maloney Store

Via VisitSkykomish: A visit to the Maloney Store offers a unique blend of history, culture, and local charm. Built in 1893 by Skykomish founder John Maloney, the Landmark Maloney Store in the heart of the Town’s Historic District is one of the town’s oldest and most iconic buildings. Originally serving as the general store, post office, and hardware store, it was a hub of frontier life. Today, it continues to be a vibrant part of the community—home to the Skykomish Historical Society Museum, Sky Artworks, Toot Sweet, Skykomish Sit n Spin Laundromat.

Sit & Spin Laundromat

Located within the Historic Maloney Store, the Sit n' Spin Laundromat is a fantastic place to stop and take in the sights while your clothes get their much-needed clean after a few days of getting out in nature. Open 7 days a week, 6a-9p.

Sky Artworks

Via VisitSkykomish: Sky Artworks is an arts-oriented community center in the historic Maloney Store building. It features collaborative workspaces, rotating exhibits, and a welcoming atmosphere that supports local artists and celebrates the creative spirit of Skykomish. Whether you’re visiting to view art, meet makers, or participate in community projects, Sky Artworks is a vibrant cultural hub in the heart of town.

Skykomish Library

A small building perfect for a small but lively community, the Skykomish Library is open to the public Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. The library hosts community events and lends out books to all who are interested - if you're coming from Seattle, this library is in the King County system, meaning books can be returned to your home library once finished! Free wifi is offered and printing services are available.

Train over bridge

Great Northern Railway - Kids' Train Rides!

In the center of town, kids can enjoy FREE and unlimited mini train rides! This adorable and historical attraction is open during the day on Saturdays, May through October. Though it's only open for a small window, it's well worth it! Donations are accepted, and for train lovers or history buffs, the 1898 Depot & Train Museum is open 10a-4p, Thur-Sun!

Toot Sweet Candy Store

Toot Sweet is a wonderfully whimsical railroad-themed candy store opened in conjunction with the town's free riding miniature railroad. Located in the old post office section of Maloney's General Store in the heart of historic downtown Skykomish, this candy store is the perfect affordable fix for your sweet tooth, or to find the perfect treat for the kiddos!

Sky River Coffee

Located conveniently in downtown Skykomish, Sky River Coffee has your daily fix! Drop by for espresso or a handcrafted drink, get breakfast before hitting the trails, or simply enjoy a slow morning in their cozy shop. Open 6:3a-12p Mon/Tue/Wed, 6:30a-2p Thur/Sat/Sun, and 6:30a-5p Friday.
